The NBA tried a new format and brought in new faces for the 2012 slam dunk contest. Based on the total fan voting, Jeremy Evans took the win with his double dunk with 29% of the total votes. Evans added his own flavor to what Javale Mcgee did last year. Evans took two hits and slammed them both above Gordon Hayward who is sitting on a chair. Together with Evans, the night’s second best dunk goes to Paul George as he wear a glow in the dark uniform to be barely visible. George pays tribute to Larry Bird as he put a sticker of Boston Celtics on his left hand.

It’s become a tradition recently in the dunk contest for the participants to pay tribute to legends from their team. Winner, Evans pays tribute to legend Karl Malone while Chase Budinger decided to pay tribute to Cedric Ceballos with a blind fold.
