According to a morphologist who studied the gecko’s climbing and gripping abilities for almost 20years, gecko feet can be applied and disengaged with ease, and with no sticky residue remaining on the surface. These properties offer possibilities for artificial materials to easily attach and detach like televisions or computers.

Studies shows that a gecko feet has a unique capability so called “dry adhesion” which is an adhesive force enough to carry a 9- pound weight, despite the fact that geckos weight just a few ounces.
