American Idol 2012 Grand Finale Result: Phillip Phillips wins American Idol Season 11
Phillip Phillips is the official winner of American Idol (AI) Season 11 beating the 16-year-old vocal powerhouse Jessica Sanchez. He has never been in the Bottom 3 in the entire run of the competition.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest said that a world record of 132 million votes have been made for this year’s finale. As Phillip was announced as the winner, he sang his first single entitled “Home” with his signature guitar. He was crying as he walked down the stage to approach his family and give them a hug. He also gave the judges a hug.
