Atlantic Sturgeon: a strange sea creature found at Folly Beach in South Carolina (Photo)
Several international news sites reported on Monday, March 26, of a strange sea creature found at Folly Beach in South Carolina turned out to be an Atlantic sturgeon.

The sea creature was washed ashore over the weekend and was mistaken as a new fish species because of its strange appearance. A veterinarian from a South Carolina aquarium identified that it was indeed an Atlantic sturgeon.
These sturgeons are actually harmless and reportedly could grow up to 15 feet and weigh over 800 pounds. However, they are already included in the list of endangered specles.
