NCAA Tournament 2012: Syracuse star Fab Melo barred for NCAA tournament
Syracuse sophomore star Fab Melo won’t take part in the NCAA Basketball tournament due to eligibility issue. The school would not intricate the issue though Melo fail to spot three games during the season.
On Tuesday, a 7-footer Melo did not travel to Pittsburgh with his team. In his place, Coach Jim Boeheim is likely to use Baye Keita and Rakeem Christmas at center.

It’s a big blow for Syracuse coach and his Orange, the top seed in the East. They play 16th-seeded UNC Asheville (24-9), the Big South champion, on Thursday afternoon, pronounce the Associated Press.
