Police in Fort Lee, New Jersey, have been handing out pamphlets giving safety tips to pedestrians after three people were struck and killed by cars in the past year.

“It’s a big distraction,” Police Chief Thomas Ripoli said. “Pedestrians aren’t watching where they are going and they are not aware.”
