Obama commemorate St. Patrick’s Day with Guinness pint (Photo)

Moneygall, Ireland President Barack Obama reconnected with his Irish roots Saturday, where he celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in a popular Washington DC Irish bar. Obama drinks a pint of Guinness with his ancestral cousin Henry Healy and owner of the pub Ollie Hayes.

Moneygall village was believed to be the birthplace of Obama’s great-great-great grandfathers. During his visit, Obama was greeted by fervent crowds lining the streets despite of rain showers.

“It tastes so much better here than it does in the states,” Obama said. “You’re keeping all the best stuff here.”

Healy, a distant relative of the president said that Obama had really an interest in his Irish ancestral roots. “He expressed while he was seeking the Democratic nomination that he did want to visit the little village in Ireland and have a pint,” said Healy
