An advertising firm BBH New York is working with local homeless advocates to help homeless people in Austin make some money by carrying around their own personal portable Wi-fi emitter that they use to sell a few minutes of wireless access to people on the street.

The SXSW festival has a history of weakening Wi-fi connections and to remedy the issue, BBH have been “strategically positioned” the ‘Hotspot Managers’ throughout the city, offering festival-goers the opportunity to buy access to the participant’s 4G network from a phone, laptop, or tablet.
