Toyota USA Recalls 700,000 cars from model years 2005 to 2011

Toyota as number one car manufacturer in the world recalls 700,000 vehicles worldwide amid fears over brakes and engines.

The company is recalling in the United States in two separate recalls. First recall involves airbags in almost 500,000 Toyota Tacoma trucks made between 2005 and 2009. It usually includes replacement of steering wheel cable to avoid damage to the electrical connection for the driver’s airbag module.

Second recall involves replacement of lamp switches that are incorrectly installed to 70,500 Toyota Camry sedans made during 2009 and 116,000 Toyota Venza crossover SUVs made between 2009 and 2011.

According to Toyota, no accidents or injuries have been reported as a result of either problem
