World’s Tallest Lego structure unveiled in South Korea (Video)

In celebration of LEGO’s 80th anniversary, LEGO Korea built the tallest Lego tower to set new world record. The world’s tallest Lego tower stands in front of Jamsil Stadium in Seoul.

The Lego structure used more than 50,000 colorful bricks and took five days to construct. Over 4,000 children joined the construction of the world’s tallest Lego structure.

Danish Crown Prince Frederick placed the final brick on to the tower. World’s tallest Lego tower measuring 31.9 meters took five days to build and broke the previous record set in France at 31.6 meters.

The popular toy ‘Lego’ was invented by Danish carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen, who started making wooden toys in 1920.

The first official Lego tower was built in London in 1988 with the height of nearly 50 feet.
