12-year old Kyle Imao from Marikina City has been named as the very first Junior Masterchef Pinoy Edition grand winner. Kyle got the highest score of 91.8 during the live cook-off finale held last night, February 18.
The show was hosted by Ms. Judy Ann Santos, who was also one of the judges. Kyle’s score was only 0.7 higher than 2nd Placer, Cebu’s Philip Amarillo, 13, who got 91.1.
Kyle Imao received a culinary scholarship worth P1.5-million from Treston International College and a cash prize of P1-million. Philip, as the runner-up, also took home P1.5M worth of culinary scholarship from Treston International College and P500-thousand cash. 3rd placer Mika Tanaka, 11, with the final score of 84.0, and 4th Placer Jobim Jalbuena, 13, with the final score of 73.4, both received P500k-worth of culinary scholarship also from Treston International College and P250k cash prize.
