Last Wednesday night, the remaining American Idol Season 11 Top 5 finalists sang two songs each; one from the 60s and the other is a British song, with Phillip Phillips and Joshua Ledet making a duet while Skylar Laine, Hollie Cavanagh, and Jessica Sanchez performing as a trio.
On the American Idol 2012 elimination results show Thursday night, predicting who would be eliminated was an extremely difficult choice.
Some thought it might finally be Hollie Cavanagh‘s time to go. Others predicted former front-runner Phillip Phillips might have had one bad night too many. Others even speculated the voters might be sick of the judges’ constant praise of Joshua Ledet or Jessica Sanchez and eliminate one of them. Even poor Skylar Laine was predicted to be booted off because she is just too country cute and not enough of a mainstream pop singer.
The country rock singer Skylar Laine got voted off on the Top 5 Elimination (Results Night) of American Idol Season 11. Hollie Cavanagh joined her in the Bottom Two but survived to sing another week.
The Top 4 American Idol Finalists are: Jessica Sanchez, Hollie Cavanagh, Phillip Phillips and Joshua Ledet.
