After being lunched in ten countries including Australia, Japan, and the United States, shoppers began coating up to buy Apple’s new iPad on Friday, as the company tries to widen its lead in the tablet market.
Apple retail stores from Australia and Switzerland were expected to open first for buyers who want to have the new iPad. Apple’s new iPad price starts at $499 in the U.S.
Big crowds were expected to come and selected retailers like Best Buy Co., RadioShack Corp., and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. will be selling the device as well.
In Australia, about 200 people were stretched around the block outside store in Sydney while in Tokyo, more than 450 people stood in a line.
