Facebook, the most popular social networking sites today appears to be down in various parts of the world for nearly an hour. The Facebook outage started around 5:45pm EST Monday. Its service is not working for some countries around the globe, though not all user are affected but this is the most crucial technical bug down of the system.
It was said that it is caused by maintenance and rearranging of DNS infrastructure of Facebook site. And as a result, many people were unable to reach the site and was lead by the search engine in DNS error. As reported, this outage has lasted for more than an hour and technically affecting the social networking of most people using Facebook.
According Facebook spokesperson (7:55pm EST Monday)
“Earlier today we made a change to our DNS infrastructure and that change resulted in some people being temporarily unable to reach the site. We detected and resolved the issue quickly, and we are now back to 100 percent. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
